Curro Thatchfield is looking for a dedicated and energetic Temp Assistant Cook to support the Cook/Chef in preparing meals, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting with special events. The role involves food preparation, cleaning, supporting health and safety compliance, and standing in for the Cook when necessary. The successful candidate must have a positive approach to their work and be committed to contributing to the values and ethos of the school.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of food and related products for learners
• Handle cutting, cleaning, and pre-preparation of food
• Assist with cooked/warm meals as required
• Provide input on food quality to the Cook
• Help with catering for special events
• Stand in for the Cook when absent

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Formal cooking qualification
• Experience as an Assistant Cook
• Energetic and positive approach to work
• Clear criminal record
